Friday March 2nd, the Zachary Community School System is hosting the Special Olympic Time Trails at Zachary High School. This huge event hosts all of our local students from grades 2-12 in preparation for the State Special Olympics, held at the end of the school year. The meet will consist of 3 track and field events: a distance run, a throwing event, and standing long jump. This event, which has grown over the past several years, is strictly a volunteer and donation based event. As a long-standing supporter of the City of Zachary and the Zachary Community School System, the Bank of Zachary is proud to sponsor this unique and special event.
Opening ceremonies begin at 9:15am. If you would like to help with the event, please contact Craig Castello or Jamie Byrd through the Central Office at (225) 658-4969.
We are, first and foremost, a community banking institution, and we have been an integral part of this community for more than a century. The Bank of Zachary first opened for business on July 2, 1904, making it the oldest bank headquartered in East Baton Rouge Parish. We opened one of the first branch banks in the Central area in 1976.
Support for our community is the bedrock on which our bank was founded and it remains our guiding principle. In fact, we have defined our mission as such:
The mission of the Bank of Zachary is to improve our community by meeting its financial needs and by being a responsible and productive member of that community, recognizing that the extent of our ability to enhance our community is dependent on our profitability.
We demonstrate our commitment to the community every day. Our officers, directors and employees are actively involved in nearly every civic and charitable organization in our trade area. Five of our current officers have served as President of the Chamber of Commerce. Bank of Zachary employees have leadership roles in March of Dimes, Relay for Life, Z-Fest, Rotary Club, FAZE, and many other organizations. We are proud of our significant contributions to area non-profit organizations.
The Bank of Zachary was a crucial partner in the formation of the Zachary Community School System, devoting time and resources to the fledgling organization. As the Zachary Community School System has grown into the model of success, the Bank of Zachary has lent its support every step of the way.
When you entrust your deposits to the Bank of Zachary, these funds are invested right back into this community – your community. Our customer’s deposits support growing families, and businesses that are meeting the expanding needs of our growing community. The Bank of Zachary is proud to be a community bank for this community.
It is a local truism that the home buying season starts the week after the Super Bowl and doesn’t subside until midsummer. With that in mind, the Bank of Zachary would like to encourage potential homebuyers to click on the “Home Loans” section of our website for current rates and contact information. You will also find easy-to-use affordability and payment calculators, and even an online application.
